Today was another gorgeous day
Bitterly cold, lots of frost, so I thought I would take a little tour over what I call 'my' mountain, which is situated in Connemara, between Oughterard and Casla. It is a mountain road of approximately 30 km full of extra ordinary views of The Twelve Bens (the Twelve Pins) , the famous mountain range in Connemara with its 12 peaks. This is a partial view of those peaks.

The seaside of 'my' mountain was fine to drive on, the Oughterard side turned out to be a bit treacherous when I got stranded in the snow. I ended up behind a lorry that got stuck, and spent 1,5 hours waiting for help to arrive and dig us out.

Was great fun though, and I will upload a couple of snow pictures later. The ‘help troopers’ brought hot chocolate to drink and the lorry driver, who actually collected dead animals and transported them, had loads of silly stories to tell during our waiting hours.
